Montana’s cybersecurity community is coming together.

The Big Sky Cyber Summit is a one-day, high-impact conference designed specifically for cybersecurity practitioners, IT leaders responsible for security, and public-sector partners across the state. This inaugural event will bring together professionals from enterprise and mid-sized organizations, along with representatives from agencies such as CISA, FBI, DHS, and regional law enforcement.

Our goal is straightforward: deliver high-quality cybersecurity programming, meaningful peer connections, and an engaging, memorable experience.

This is a focused event built for professionals actively responsible for defending organizations. It is not a vendor expo. Attendees will earn CPE credits, and proof of attendance will be provided for those who request it.

Why Attend?

Nationally Recognized Keynote

We are pleased to welcome Deviant Ollam, internationally recognized physical penetration specialist, author, and security educator. His work bridges physical and cybersecurity disciplines and consistently attracts security professionals nationwide. Physical security is often an overlooked layer in cyber defense — and this keynote will challenge how you think about risk.

Montana Voices + Federal Insight

The agenda will feature:

  • Speaker Sessions from experienced security professionals
  • A presentation from CISA (Department of Homeland Security)
  • Peer-led sessions addressing real-world challenges in our region

Timely, Practitioner-Focused Topics

Programming will include sessions on:

  • AI and cybersecurity risk
  • Third-party and vendor risk management
  • Incident response challenges
  • Cloud and M365 security
  • Emerging threats impacting Montana organizations

Structured Peer Discussions

A dedicated “Birds of a Feather” session will allow attendees to select a topic and participate in focused roundtable discussions. Whether it’s incident response coordination, securing Microsoft 365, managing vendor risk, or AI governance, these sessions are designed for practical exchange — not slide decks.

Built-In Networking

The day includes:

  • Networking and continental breakfast
  • Sponsored lunch
  • Sponsored happy hour reception
  • Hands-on lockpicking table hosted by Deviant Ollam

This is an opportunity to build relationships with the professionals defending Montana organizations — and strengthen connections before an incident makes them essential.

  • Enterprise and mid-sized company cybersecurity professionals
  • IT leaders with cybersecurity responsibility
  • Security engineers and analysts
